Improvement Measures for 330ml Aluminum Can Order Packaging Quality

Our long-term customers have provided feedback that the 330ml and 500ml aluminum cans we supply boast excellent product quality, including outstanding coating and printing performance. However, improvements are still needed for pallet packaging, as some pallets were found damaged upon receipt. The inferred specific causes of damage are as follows:
  1. When forklift drivers load goods, the uneven floor of the container truck makes it difficult to push the pallets into place smoothly. As a result, they have to apply greater force to push the pallets in, and the excessive force damages some pallets inside the container.
  2. As can be seen from the photos sent by the customer, the paper dividers are too thin and soft, so the stretch wrap plays a limited role under external force. Normally, the stretch wrap is wrapped 2–3 layers; wrapping too many layers would cause excessive shrinkage of the wrap, leading to deformation of the aluminum cans.
  3. During sea transportation, the goods are subject to constant jolting. If there are gaps between pallets, they are prone to colliding with each other and getting damaged.
In response, we have implemented the following improvement measures:
  1. Use fumigated wooden materials for both pallets and top caps.
  2. Thicken the paper dividers to ensure they are rigid, sturdy and flat.
  3. Wrap the stretch wrap 5 layers each at the top and bottom of the pallets, replacing the original 3 layers. With each layer supported by rigid paper dividers, additional wrapping will not cause the aluminum cans to be squeezed and deformed, resulting in an overall firm and perfect pallet package.
  4. Instruct forklift drivers to operate with caution during loading, control the loading speed to avoid pallet collisions, and push the pallets slowly with precise alignment.
  5. Select empty containers with flat, clean and intact floors, free of holes or other damages.
  6. After loading the pallets, secure the bottom of the outermost two pallets (the left and right pallets near the container door) with fumigated wooden blocks and fix them with nails. This prevents the pallets from sliding due to jolting caused by gaps near the container door.
  7. Never mix can bodies and lids in the same container, as their significant weight difference can lead to loss of balance during jolting and damage to the can body pallets. For containers fully loaded with lids, place air bags near the container door to fill any gaps and prevent pallet sliding due to jolting.
Following the implementation of these measures, the customer received our second batch of goods and was extremely satisfied!
